Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

We use the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for our patients which is derived from same patient for this treatment. When this PRP is injected into the person, it leads to a release of loads of Growth Factors from the platelets and hence giving the desied response. It is done using commercially available kits and equipment. The resulting substance varies from person to person and hence the results and efficacy of this procedure varies from person to person.

PRP is prepared in the following steps-

Blood collection – Blood is collected from the person by a simple vein puncture (same as used for blood test sample collection) in a special kit -usually 6-8 ml.

Centrifugation – Then putting the blood through centrifugation designed to separate plasma and red blood cells. The plasma is subsequently again centrifuged and Platelet Rich Plasma is separated from the Platelet Poor Plasma.

Injection – After PRP collection in syringe, verious growth factors and vitamins are added according to the indication for use to make it more effective. With a very small meso needle, this is injected in the desired area in aseptic conditions.

We utilize Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for our patients, extracted from the patient’s own blood for treatment purposes. Hence, it minimises the chances for reactions.Upon injection, PRP triggers the release of numerous Growth Factors from the platelets, facilitating the desired response. This procedure is carried out using commercially available kits and equipment. The resulting substance may exhibit variations among individuals, leading to variances in the efficacy of the treatment.

Our application of PRP therapy includes stimulating hair growth in cases of hair loss, as well as rejuvenating the skin of the face and neck. Additionally, it is employed for the treatment of stretch marks and scar revisions. The effectiveness of PRP may vary from individual to individual, and achieving the desired results may necessitate multiple sessions.
